Purchase
From an agreed figure to a name in your own account.
The route is the same for every name. Neither side has to trust the other, because the money is held by a licensed escrow agent until the name has moved.

The figure
You reply to the note, or write through the form. If the figure works for you, we confirm it in writing, along with the name and the company that will own it.
-
18
The escrow transaction
We open a transaction at Escrow.com with those terms. You receive an invitation from Escrow.com itself, check the details, and accept.
-
24
Your payment
You pay Escrow.com by wire or card. We are told the funds are secured; we do not receive them yet.
-
36
The handover
We move the name to you: a push to your account at the same registrar, or an authorisation code for the registrar you prefer. A transfer between registrars normally completes within about a week.
-
48
Yours
You confirm on Escrow.com that the name sits in your account, and the funds are released. Point it at your site and your mail whenever you are ready.
Questions people ask
- Who pays the escrow fee?
- That is settled in writing with the figure, before the transaction opens, so nothing is added later. Escrow.com publishes its fee on its own calculator.
- Can the transfer be refused?
- Registries lock a name for 60 days after certain changes. If that applies, we say so before you pay and the name moves to your account at the current registrar instead, ready to transfer out when the lock lifts.
- What do you need from us?
- The legal name of the company that will own the address and the registrar account it should land in. Nothing is asked for before the figure is agreed.
